The Beatles - Beatles Diary Trading Cards - Lot of 74 Cards
The 1964 Topps (T.C.G.) Beatles Diary cards are one of six trading card sets featuring the band released to North American audiences that year. Of these sets, the 60 card set of Topps Beatles Diary is one of the more informative. The card fronts consist of a full-color photo and a small white border. The majority of the cards in the set either show the band on stage with their instruments or walking about the city. The Diary card backs have a blue border around the outside and a drawing of a piece of lined paper in the middle. The text consists of a first-person account as though it were written by either John, Paul, George, or Ringo. The text doesn't necessarily match up with who is shown on the front. All cards measure 2-1/2 x 3-1/2".
This set includes 74 cards, including two errant #21 cards with a "John" autograph on the back instead of a "George". The condition of the cards varies from fair to very good condition. Some cards have tape, tears, or writing on them. Some of the cards have black paper spots on the backs where the card was apparently glued to black paper and then removed. Cards pictured are random samples from this lot.
