The Beatles - Paul & Ringo REMCO Soft Body Dolls
Remco Industries, Inc was a New Jersey toy company founded in the 1940s. In the mid-1960s, Remco acquired several licenses for popular culture groups and TV shows and made a variety of toys. In 1964 the company jumped on The Beatlemania band-wagon by acquiring licensing rights from Brian Epstein's NEMS Enterprises and produced the incredibly popular Beatles Rubber "Hair Dolls".
The Remco dolls are a 4-1/2" tall rubber OR plastic body doll with rubber heads and lifelike hair. The rubber dolls have the licensing information in fine print on their feet while the hard plastic ones feature this print on their backs. Each doll was issued with their respective black plastic with gold trim instrument and it's on these that you find their signatures. The Remco Dolls landed in U.S. stores in 1964.
These 2 soft body dolls are in very good condition. Both are without their instruments.
